I decided this summer that it's just too easy to pull the rear seat backs out of the car and made a cover for the times I feel like a spirited drive with a bit of weight reduction.
This is about as basic as it gets.
-cardboard template
-thin plywood
-black felt
* lucky for me I'm not interested in making this as amazing as those I have seen when researching. Nonetheless, it is functional and less sore on the eyes than the open hole.
The fit is nice and snug with no clips or fasteners, just push in , pull out. No vibration rattle at all. no noise over hard bumps.
